Kitchen Renovation - Interior Changed Through IKEA Cabinates

When something doesn’t fit perfectly then you have to customize according to your own imagination and style.  If we talk about Violaine and Gaëtan they changed their country kitchen into an industrial kitchen. Gaetan is an architect who lives on Montreal designed this beautiful kitchen in spare time. First of all they sold old appliances, cabinets and tiles. And started renovating their kitchen with a hammer and the result of renovating is here -
It almost takes 2 months to complete this task with lots of determination and hard work. It was not an easy job to deal with straight floors. Gaetan was inspired by Danish furniture brnad Vipp. Cabinet door are from IKEA. They customized the cabinets by applying a resistant black matter electro paint coating on each cabinet.

Countertop is covered by Portuguese marble. Traditional glass pendent lights painted with black matte paint. Kitchen features beautifully DIY pieces like the open selves and the table.

For some sections of the metal shelves, he built little "windows" to save specific items from dust and kitchen grime. Atelier Gris did the metalwork and the wood (walnut, identical to the table) was cut and installed by cabinetmaker Nicolas Côté from Niconova. The black matte finish faucet from Kohler matches the lower cabinets and the open shelving as well.Gaetan designed the table in the same height as the counter so it could provide extra space for food prep.
